How to Choose the Music Repertoire for Your Wedding

Choosing the right repertoire for your wedding is a key step in setting the emotional and aesthetic atmosphere of your celebration, and Lisboa Duo offers expert support in this decision. It is advisable to start with the best-known classics, such as Johann Sebastian Bach or Edward Elgar, which bring a sense of tradition and elegance. However, the choice should be personalised based on the couple’s style and the theme of the wedding, whether it is boho, vintage or minimalist, creating a musical sequence that accompanies the key moments of the ceremony with harmony and emotion.

In addition to selecting the songs, it is important to consider the space where the event will take place, as acoustics vary and influence the effectiveness of the performance. In churches, for example, the low sound of the cello tends to be more striking, while in halls the violin can take on the leading role to provide lightness and melody. Lisboa Duo offers free consultations to help put together a balanced list of 5 to 10 key pieces for the entrance, signing and exit, ensuring that the repertoire perfectly reflects the personality of the bride and groom and the atmosphere of the ceremony.

Furthermore, listening to demos or recordings of the chosen pieces allows couples to anticipate the emotional impact of each moment, facilitating confident decision-making. This care transforms the musical selection into a personalised and memorable experience, capable of enchanting all participants. The Lisboa Duo is available to help create this special moment through its delicate and sophisticated music.
